Volunteer Appreciation Week at Iwakuni
Volunteers are important to the USO because they help the USO carry out the mission, which is to connect service members to their families and home. Our volunteers outnumber the staff, which is a great thing, because USO staff cannot run the entire show on their own! These are some of the volunteers who help USO Iwakuni fulfill the mission and vision of the USO. The volunteers are a mix of active duty, spouses, and at times teenagers (accompanied by a parent or guardian). To celebrate their volunteers, staff presented a red-velvet cupcake cake, followed up with a photo shoot on April 9th. Thank you volunteers for all you do to help the USO carry out the mission!
