Thanksgiving Dinner at USO Iwakuni
On November 20, USO Iwakuni hosted a community Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings. The Center Staff and volunteers contributed to the dinner event by making home baked and fried turkeys, hams, macaroni and cheese, dressing, pies of all sorts, cookies, salads, stuffing, green bean casserole and more for all those that attended. Drinks were providing by USO’s Sponsor, Coca-Cola. Families attended with their little ones, as well as service members who awaited their flights. This was a great evening spent with staff, volunteers, service members, and families. The team at Iwakuni wanted to thank every community member who volunteered to cook for the event. Without the community and USO volunteers, this event could not have been possible. USO Iwakuni will hold a Holiday Dinner for service members and their families this upcoming December and look forward to serving the Iwakuni community once more.
