Japanese Cooking Lesson at USO Yokosuka
USO Yokosuka hosted a Japanese Cooking Lesson on November 28. One of our All-Star Volunteers, who was also Volunteer of the Month for November, Keiko, lead the class. Keiko, like many of our volunteers, has the ability to wear multiple hats in her career, at home, and with us at the center. Keiko has collaborated with USO Japan and USO Yokosuka constantly, and we sincerely appreciate her efforts. The menu item for the evening was Gyoza of all sorts. Eighteen lucky participants were able to learn how to home made Buta Gyoza (pork gyoza), Ebi Gyoza (shrimp gyoza), and Cheese Mochi & Shiso Gyoza. Fried Rice, Miso Soup, and Karaage Chicken (fried chicken) was served for the participants. Bellies were filled, fun was had, and we look forward to our next Japanese Cooking Lesson!
