USO Iwakuni Delivers a Birthday Cake
USO Iwakuni was able to surprise a service member with a cake requested from their family member back on the mainland. This program is called ‘Operation Birthday Cake’. USO Staff and volunteers make it possible to celebrate service members birthdays, such as Kate. Kate is a Marine stationed in Iwakuni, and with the coordination of her command, USO Iwakuni was able to help make her day special. USO in mainland Japan offers a unique program that allows families to celebrate their service members birthday’s from an ocean away. To find out more information, follow the link below.
